What certifications does it take to own a Jiu-jitsu academy?  Unfortunatley there isn’t anything.  There is no police running around checking credentials.  You will never see a Karate school with a blue belt or green belt running their program, it’s always a highly decorated black belt.  But Jiu-jitsu has become so popular that you find low ranking students opening up schools all over the place, they go online to online Jiu-Jitsu universities and pay alot of money for a certification online they can print on their printer.
