Ronnie Wuest Owner of Meia Guarda Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – started wresting in elementary school and wrestled through high school and college.  He started learning about Jiu-jitsu in 1998 and has been training ever since.  Around early 2000 he started doing some mixed martial arts and really enjoyed it.  He has a passion for self defense, when he was 21 years old he was attacked by some pretty bad guys, was shot and beat up pretty badly, he was lucky to have survived but also often wonders how things may have been different if he had some self defense skills at the time to help him.  He feels that many people wouldn’t have been so lucky and his passion partly stems from that experience and he wants to be able to provide self defense skills to anyone who wants to learn them.
